Don’t let your email get stuck in the spam box when it arrives at your customer’s email. Take proactive steps to make your email stand out as non-spam. Step one: only send to legitimate addresses. We always say it’s better to have a smaller list than one full of people that are going to mark you as spam.

Focus on relevancy and the from and subject fields. This is all your recipients see before opening the email. A trusted sender and a good subject send the message that your email is safe and worthwhile.

Email remains one of the best ways to market both BtoB and BtoC businesses, but you’ve got to do it right.

Report: Consumers Are Savvier Spam Defenders Than Previously Thought:

“We found that four out of five folks are deleting or reporting messages as spam before even opening them,” said Hughes. “Consumers are tyrannical; they are brutal editors of their inbox.
