i live in India
i heard there is no youtube partnership available in India..
but i made 2 funny videos and they got selected for youtube partnership….
and i am now a youtube partner..
now i need to know how all this works

Thanks for the round-up of pros & cons of the partner program. My business, danimations, is an Australian digital media producer, and we joined the partner program just last week. We’ve already noticed an increase in views, and have taken full advantage of the channel customisation options provided to us. Being able to link to external websites via imagemap controls on the channel pages is another very cool advantage.

and i think the partner program is blocked in our country , and there is 2 youtube partners from my country what shell i do

Like I said, the NZ YouTubers I know of who are partnered (e.g. wizardneedsfoodbadly, nanisnap) got partnered by saying they were from Australia instead of New Zealand. This loophole however has now been closed. The other partnered channels you spoke of (the political ones for example) would have just been given partnered channels due to their position, and did not earn it.

It seems now that us NZ Youtubers can not be partners as when we try and access the youtube partners page: http://www.youtube.com/partners it redirects us back to the homepage.

Maybe when New Zealand has more partner-worthy channels they may expand the program to our neck of the woods, I hope they will.

There are plenty of NZ YouTUbe Partner channels, including several NZ political parties, broadcasters etc. Some of these channels are rubbish — one only has a single subscriber and some have clearly copyright-infringing material in their upload list that seemingly is ignored by YouTube.

I’d like to become a partner (I already have over 6 million views) but there seems to be no way to apply if you’re in NZ. I’d love to know how all those other NZ Partner channels did it — if not by fraud.
